Letter to me 2034!

I wrote a letter to myself it was initially going to be about Christmas traditions and what I wanted to keep the same but then I realised that was just a microcosm for what I wanted to keep the same about myself. Obviously there's always room for improvements but I don't want to lose these amazing qualities of myself either. 

dear future me,

ten years from now

as the world spins on

and we grow older

I hope you find comfort 

in the simple joys

the laughter of loved ones

the warmth of a shared meal

may these remain constants

I hope you’ve held onto kindness

in a world that tests it

that you’ve nurtured dreams 

and let go of what burdens

may you still dance 

under the open sky

find solace in books

and wonder in the stars

let love continue to shape you

in all its forms

may it be your guide

through every season

I wish for peace 

within your heart

amidst life’s storms

and courage to embrace change

as it comes

remember the person who wrote this

with hope in their eyes

and love in their heart
